When you are reading this review, you are lucky. Here is my BAD BAD BAD....experience. 1. I received the "extraction service" on Nov 18 2010 at #44 SmileCare, Folsom, CA. I paid all my co-pay. This is the " In network" service. Dentist has the contract with Lincoln dental insurance. He can not charge more than "Allowable Charge". On March 10 2011, I got the call from collection asking for $430 for the money I "owe" to Smilecare. What??!! They can not charge more those "Provider Write Off". 2. Addtional $350 "consultant fee" was submitted to my insurance claim. It was denied and now I have to pay for it. The fact is that I didn't receive ANY "Consultant" Service from SmileCare. I had teeth pain at that morning and I "Walk in", bringing my own "X" ray. The dentist just performed the "extraction" service. That's it. "SmileCare" should not charge me for any "consultant". Further more, the "consultant" allowable price is $120, NOT $350. All in all. the SmileCare company is committing the billing fraud and they sent me (customer) to collection without notice.
