Ignorant, possibly blind Patrollers
This morning, December 13, 2011, my husband heads out the door to go to work at 0635 (ish) to find our car to be missing. After standing there a few moments (with Im sure you can picture a dumb founded face of “where did my wife park the car?”), he heads back inside to wake me and inform me my car is missing. Not believing him I look out our bedroom window and to my surprise, my car IS in fact missing.

At first, we ruled out my car being towed because it has a BRAND NEW pass in the front windshield. After further discussion and rather than panicking, my husband suggests calling Patrol Masters to make sure they didn’t tow it before we filed a police report. As I’m on the phone with Patrol Masters, I come to learn that my car DID get towed! Now, at this point, Im thinking of playback situations of how my car was towed… it has a BRAND NEW pass, let me say this again for the third time to make sure it sinks in, a BRAND NEW pass in the FRONT windshield, we have lived at this location for almost a year (with the same car), BUT it does have out of state plates (which should be NO factor)! The only thing I can think of for the reason my car did get towed, the blind patroller did NOT do his job.

This is NOT a $1 hamburger that if you mess up the burger, you can easily replace the burger, and above all, its not that hard to make a burger… this in fact is a $30,000 car that was towed, after my husband and I went to efforts to AVOID ever getting towed because this car is our ONLY mode of transportation between the two of us.

The kicker of this whole scenario, there are pictures involved. That patroller is required to take pictures of any ‘offending’ vehicles. My car is a dark car with tinted windows except the front window. So the bright red pass sticks out like a sore thumb! How could he miss it?

I don’t know if this patrol guy was just ignorant, lazy, blind, bored or a combination of some sort of what I’ve listed or not, but I am EXTREMELY unhappy, pissed to be exact. I did in fact did NOT have to pay to get my car out of the impound, but something more of an apology or even picking me up (which by the way, that is out of protocol yet towing random cars for no reason is) so I can get our car, because remember this is our ONLY mode of transportation, anything would have been nice to receive – or even something more like a gift card ;) (hey it’s the holiday season of giving). But I didn’t get anything besides told that the Patroller is going to “hear it”. Well, please, I would love a video of him “hearing it” as proof that he “heard it” so this irritating morning does not ever have a repeat.

As for Patrol Masters themselves, they did not try to resolve anything and would only repeat that “You need to do this”, “You need to do that” and “We cant do that” and the one that REALLY irked me was “It is not our fault, it is our patrollers fault”. No, sorry Patrol Masters, this is NOT kindergarten anymore, you are a business, and you are as a whole, not individual, and this IS your fault. And this is YOUR ‘mistake’! This event in turn caused for a very normally lax happy person, to have a horrible agitating day today. So thank you for your ignorance. I sincerely hope this DOES NOT happen ever again!
