Review 7/14/2011
Bought the 3-inch, 4-lb premium memory foam queen-size topper online about 2 months ago. Searched many sites and reviews, and although Padco did not have any reviews, they have a good BBB rating, and they have some of the best pricing for US made product. It is possible that they could be the OEM for this product although I cannot confirm(they manufacture foam padding products). Took approximately 2 weeks for product to arrive from California to SC. The first thing I did was weigh the box to make sure the foam was as dense as advertised. Weight checked out, so I took it upstairs to unpackage and to place it on another queen-size bed that we never use to allow it to decompress. It comes folded in half and rolled very tightly to fit in a 40 inch tall box. After unrolling, unfolding, and positioning on the bed, the topper was about 1.5 inches tall, very wrinkled, somewhat distorted on the corners and short ends, and had a distinct crease where it was previously folded. I thought to myself "this will take days to expand - if ever". That was 7PM. I went back up to check on it at 10:30PM and could not believe my eyes. It was fully 3 inches deep, perfectly smooth, and looked as if it had just rolled off a die-cutter - with corners and ends perfectly square. There was no trace of the fold-line. It measured exactly 60x80 inches. I couldn't resist making the "hand-print" and watching it slowly disappear. Then I laid down directly on the topper and stared at the ceiling. There was no detectable odor, and the comfort was incredible. Absolutely perfect pressure to my shoulders, back, and hips. We have a 7 year-old Select-Comfort dual control bed, and this was bought to replace the original foam topper which is not memory foam. I often sleep at 70-90 firmness to keep my back straight, and the aging foam felt like concrete at that setting. This new memory foam has solved that problem, and I am sleeping really well. This grade of memory foam would probably provide comfortable sleep on top of a concrete slab.
