Unfortunately, like others, we,too, fell victim to KNK Legal. They called us and said they could get our home modification done in a very short time. We foolishly paid their $2500 fee to do this for us. From that time on we had to contact them to see about our progress. The standard answer was they were in a meeting, on the phone or out of the office.....we heard that almost every time we called. It was very frustrating.
We checked with our bank to find out if KNK had any contact with them and it was usually only after we made persistent calls requesting an update. The updates we got from KNK Legal were ones we had already received from our bank. That isn't what we paid them to do.
We feel that we were scammed. We have asked for a refund several times and were told they wouldn't give it. Unfortunately, the money they took would have gotten us current with our mortgage. It is our hope that they will be taken to task for the pain and suffering they've caused those who trusted them. We are sorry for those who also trusted KNK Legal to do the right thing.
Today, we too, tried to make contact with the company and the line is busy. We just wanted to mention that when we initially checked the BBB we didn't find anything negative about them. We cannot remove the star on the rating scale. It should be 0.
