Review 3/17/2009
I was deceived by this dentist advertisement in a local newspaper offering discount for an implant.Dr. winter did not clarify/ask my preference, neither he told me about the pros and cons about the type of implant he 'd perfom in my mouth: He used a type that the crown is cemented on the abutment rather than screwed. The problem with this type of implant is that if you develop any gum problems or if the crown has a chip , the implant crown needs to be broken, rather than unscrewed. The crown cemented on the implant implant was not done correctly. It is completely FLAT with no cusps-fossa relationship, subsequently Dr. winter damaged the opposing teeth to make this "art work" fit on my mouth rather than do the quality professional way of make a intercuspal relation with the opposing tooth. How dare is he to claim himself as an "expert", rip off my hard earned money !!!
Clients like me who are willing to pay for quality dentistry service will not find it at Dr. Winter office. What matter to me is the outcome, the quality of work.
This professional was not in tune with my individual needs, charged absurdly high price. What I got while sitting at his treatment chair was the bay view, the classical music, the aquarium in his office, but none of this really matter - The quality dental work focused on the individual needs was not there.

I had dental work executed with basic primary mistakes, discrepancies done by someone who brags about his credentials and achievements...discrepancies between the arch and the width of the dental work, the relation between the fossa and the cusps, the loosen contact point between the crowns...This dentist made everything as flat as can be to make it fit easier for him not bothering about my best interest and well being. In order to make a completely flat crown sitting on the implant pin fit, he completely flattened a good cusp on the occlusal lingual of the antagonist tooth instead of making the new crown adjust to the existing dental work in the area...

This professional has a closed mind, he is settled on his own ways at the expense of the clients best interests and preferences, yet he sells the idea that he in he is in tune... NOT TRUE! I found it out the hard way! It cost me a lot of money. This professional has a huge EGO and he does his dentistry as "art work" - whatever he deems as acceptable in his limited view. (The huge paintbrushes decorating his workroom tells about it and the book "Don't sweat the small stuff" on his waiting room tells about the respect he has to the clients' welfare after charging them big bucks...).

If I only had followed my gut feeling about the "aura" in that office... I can not understand how someone who states to travel all over the world to teach his trade can perform dental work with such low standard and high prices. Having his own lab and being a "expert ceramist" did not do any good. The results tell about it.

Furthermore, I had a tooth that did not have bone material remaining above gum line after root canal treatment and tooth decay clearing. Dr. winter mentioned after cementing a crown on top of it that this tooth was unstable and its future was "questionable". This "professional" did not tell, recommend or advise me to have a crown lengthening so that a crown would have the "ferrule effect" and have a good base to last longer. He was in a rush to finish his work and make his profit. If I had the crown lengthening done as a good , high standard dentist would recommend, I would have to wait around 12 weeks for the gum heal in order to have the permanent crown cemented there and since there were others crowns around wainting to be made, he hushed through in the best interest of his financial business.

This dentist sells the idea that he can do a clean work IN LINE with the client's personal needs, yet he comes up with low standardized results and he does not seem able to understand the real issues and does not take input from the client.

Any client in need of more feedback do not hesitate to contact me .
