This dental office's main focus is to sell you products that you don't need.
The dentist in this office recommended that a metal filling (< 5 years old) in a molar be replaced. He said it was lifting from my tooth.
At first he wanted to sell me a porcelian inlay ($1000 out of pocket). The cheapest option he gave me was a white composite filling ($125).
Once the filling had been replaced (with the white filling), it broke a week later. I went back to the same office, but saw a "substitute" dentist. This dentist informed me that white fillings in molars are too soft and will have to be replaced about every 2 years- if I'm lucky. He said he would only use metal fillings on molars due to the surface area and job of those teeth.
Now I have a filling that will have to be replaced in a year.
