Thomassen Law Group for Debt Settlements?
|
8/22/2011 4:20 PM (PST)
Anyone have any history with the Thomassen Law Group for debit relief? I have just made my first payment using legal helpers but with all that I have read I am thinking of leaving them but need to go with someone and would like some ideas before I do so.

Be careful, unless the law firm is not charging you a penny before providing the service I would move on. Legal helpers Debt Resolution is facing substantial litigation and lawsuits, including one by the Illinois Attorney General for deceptive practices. In fact I just had a reader the other that reported them to the Bar. See http://getoutofdebt.org/tag/legal-helpers-debt-resolution/

I agree with Steve. I don't see the regulatory action ending well for Legal Helpers, and I think a lot of people are going to lose a lot of money.

I want to make sure we are very clear on this topic. The Thomassen Law Group does not and never has had any affiliation with Legal Helpers. We are fully self contained and have never sent anything to a third party. We are very upfront in how we operate. We have zero upfront fees, zero monthly fees. We only make money is we are successful. We earn a contingent fee equal to 29% of what we save the client. No more and no less. We literally do not make a dime until we have resolved an account and then like I said it is based entirely on how well we perform.
