BBB questionable

So where is the power of public opinion in this community?? First American Home protection warranty has recd 40 negative reviews with accounts of harrowing experiences and yet is rated by BBB as A+?
Why do we even care to have a BBB if it plays zero role in checking out business practices??

Maybe people have complained here, but have not reported to the BBB. The one I found in the Kansas City area has them listed with a B+. So maybe it takes awhile for it all to get resolved. I know they try to resolve the problems before changing the company's ratings. I'm having some terrible times with First American as well. But I now plan on going to the BBB to complain on their shoddy customer service, yet have had no problem taking my money every month. I'm finding another company as soon as the problem my air conditioner is resolved and repaired.
